Join us for the Founders Space Silicon Valley Roundtable, where founders gather around a table to share knowledge and work together to solve problems.  To join a Roundtable, you must be a founder or C-level executive at a growth-oriented startup or emerging company.

Topic: "What's on the VC and Angel Checklists?" (Which company and founder attributes are attractive?)

Presenters: Catharina Min and Donald Reinke of Reed Smith; Peter Craddock of Shoreline Venture Management; and Andy Bartley of Angels' Forum.

Note: This is not a typical panel discussion--you are welcome and encouraged to participate and ask questions.

Catharina Min and Donald Reinke of Reed Smith; Peter Craddock of Shoreline Venture Management; and Andy Bartley of Angels' Forum 

Catharina Min of Reed Smith practices corporate and securities law with an emphasis in representing both U.S. and international clients in mergers and acquisitions, private financings, joint ventures, strategic alliances, corporate partnering, securities offerings and other corporate transactions. She also represents emerging companies in general corporate matters and financings. In addition, she has extensive experience representing Asian clients doing business in the United States and Asia. In addition, she is a frequent speaker at many organizations including the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs and the Korean IT Network Forum covering topics related to cross-border transactions and venture capital financings.

Don Reinke of Reed Smith has extensive experience as a corporate lawyer in the areas of venture capital finance, public securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other general corporate representation of technology start-up and emerging growth companies, as well as venture funds and investment banks. Before joining Crosby Heafey in late 2001 to chair its Corporate Department, which combined with Reed Smith in 2003, Don was a co-founder and the managing partner of Bay Venture Counsel, LLP. Don is currently a Deputy Chair of the firm’s Global Emerging Company/Venture Capital Practice. Don has also previously been selected as a Northern California "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine and the publishers of San Francisco Magazine.

Peter Craddock of Shoreline Venture Management spent over twelve years with Kidder, Peabody and DLJ, most recently as a vice president in the corporate services division. During that time he assisted in originating investment banking transactions in the public and private markets with companies such as Qwest Communications International, Somatogen, IVAC Medical Systems (now Alaris), Spectranetics, IMSI, Triad and others. Since 1989, he has been, individually and through SVP I and II, an early stage investor in numerous successful seed and early stage companies, including CV Therapeutics (CVTX), Chili!Soft, Speedchain Networks, ARYx Therapeutics, Lifeline Technologies, Overread, Hall-Kinion (HAKI), Cambric, Z-force (now Attune Systems) and others.

Andy Bartley of Angels' Forum is an Associate at The Angels Forum and The Halo Funds. He is responsible for sourcing and identifying potential investment opportunities in the life sciences, high tech, and consumer product spaces. Andy is actively involved in the evaluation of businesses seeking seed/early stage financing. He enjoys working with promising entrepreneurs to help them develop investor-oriented pitch decks and presentations. Prior to joining TAF Andy worked for Stryker Endoscopy. He has a MBA from Santa Clara University and a BS in Biological Engineering from Oregon State University.Join your peers and subject matter experts to discuss the burning issues facing your business today.
